On November 12th, in their first official OVA match, the Provincial Cup in King City, the girls played Niagara Rapids ultimately taking the match (25-6, 25-27, 15-10). Next they played Etobicoke 381 and won both games (25-13, 25-10) securing 1st in the preliminary pool. Oakville Thunder beat Hespeler Scorpions (25–16, 25-11) in their quarter final match, setting up a semifinal tilt v Aurora Storm Typhoon. Oakville Thunder prevailed (25-17, 25–18) securing a spot in the final v Aurora Storm Vortex. The Vortex played superbly and won the gold medal. While Oakville Thunder came up short in the final, their Coaches were extremely proud of them for taking home a silver medal in their first OVA sanctioned tournament. On December 10th, The Oakville Thunder 13U Blue Girls continued their strong performance at the 13U Girls Challenge Cup in Brampton. They went undefeated in preliminary pool play, beating Ms. Pakmen (25-23, & 25–20), InterClub (25–5, 30–28) & Etobicoke Titans (25–16, 25–20). They moved through the quarterfinals beating Ms. Pakmen 12U, and the semi-finals beating the Etobicoke Titans Blue (25–7, 25-11)., setting up a rematch v Aurora Storm Vortex. Oakville Thunder was down losing the first game (25 -11). The second game was much closer with every point being won with long rallies. However, it just wasn't enough. Oakville Thunder came out on the short end of a 25-22 score and won their second consecutive silver medal. Coaches Mark Kells, Gary Semplonius and Julie Armstrong were impressed with the girls’ skill and tenacity – fighting for every point and encouraging each other along the way. OUR ROSTER IS NOW SET! The Quotes Module fades in and out displaying a list of quotes to the visitor. The speed at which each quote is displayed varies depending on the length of each quotes text and the speed that the designer designated while designing the website.This Module allows the administrator to easily add, delete and rearrange items, all from withing Flashblocks ML.

The first team was formed in response to requests by high school volleyball players looking to improve their volleyball skills, have fun and compete at a level beyond their high school volleyball league. The inaugural Thunder team enjoyed immediate success, earning a silver medal in their first ever tournament and the Club has never looked back. Over the past 10 years, the Club has expanded from one team to teams supporting the 13U to 18U age divisions, often with a Blue and White team in each division. Oakville Thunder's reputation for producing top performing volleyball teams from Oakville has continued. Our competitive athletes have enjoyed competing against the best volleyball clubs in the country as well as those in the U.S.. We've enjoyed success at regional, provincial and national levels, having competed in top tiers within the OVA and Canadian Nationals in Saskatchewan, B.C., Quebec, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia as well as invitationals in the United States. This past 2009/2010 season, Oakville Thunder teams captured multiple gold, silver and bronze medals, competing in the top tiers in Ontario throughout the season. On the weekend of January 15th & 16th, Oakville Thunder 18U Blue team travelled to Buffalo, New York to compete in the Can-Am Niagara Frontier Volleyball Invitational. Our Thunder Ladies showcased their Canadian talent as they finished 1st in the opening round robin placing them with the top teams in the Gold bracket, then 2nd in their pool to reaffirm their top level place as they advanced to the Championship bracket.
